Measures: 76" x 81"
What do you do when you have strip and bits of fabric taking up bins and bins of space in your sewing room? You start making quilts! Anyone who knows me near intimately knows my love of not only bunny's aka rabbits, but I also love the outdoors and all animals. I had a nursery wildlife fabric used on another project which left me with some leftovers but not enough to really do much with. I fussy cut the shapes & before you knew it, I had a mini forest of animals to build a quilt around.
I used some coffee with cream gorgeous & high-quality KONA cotton, a MODA cotton with a black background with tan mini polka dots, a black with a silvery scroll all over & a MODA in rich mocha with mini black dots all over. I added some small usage of mint green with white dots & a mint & cream ticking to surround some of the images.
The center of the quilt has warm & natural cotton batting. The backing was done in a two-tone wheat pattern cotton. I then meander quilted the entire quilt quite densely. As with all my quilts, I washed & dried the quilt so you what you see is what you receive & what it will look like when you launder at home. In spite of the heavy meander quilting, the quilt itself is quilt supple & moves easily. Not rigid & unyielding like some quilts can behave.
I have shown this quilt laid out on a king size bed. This quilt would be adorable on a twin bed with a nice bed skirt or folded nicely at the foot of an adult or teen bed. Display it on the back of couch or on a quilt rack. No matter how you use or display this quilt, it's an heirloom for years to come.
